Jorge García Redondo
Jorge García Redondo is a London based illustrator originally from Spain. With a background in graphic design and advertising, his work is influenced by the mid- century aesthetic and the masters of design, think Paul Rand or Bruno Munari. His illustrations are often described as colourful, whimsical, and character based, with a playful sense. Books, comics and animation played a fundamental role on his upbringing as an illustrator, therefore telling stories through images is one of the main areas of his practice. Because of his design background, he started as a digital illustrator, but has been moving towards a more traditional approach lately. His inspiration comes from both all-time favourites such as Quentin Blake or Miroslav Sasek and contemporaries like Laura Carlin, Isabelle Arsenault and Marta Altés, amongst many others.
