Holly Bushnell

About me:

Holly Bushnell is an English illustrator from Liverpool. Her work is colourful and she mainly works digitally. Holly is also a mural artist, and has depicted imaginative scenes in schools and people’s homes. She has designed murals featuring the characters of Disney, Oliver Jeffers, Roald Dahl, J.M Barrie and Julia Donaldson, as well as others. Her work has been described as ‘little pieces of happy’ by the ‘Teen of Queen’ author Cathy Cassidy. Holly is inspired by many illustrators, including Nick Sharratt, Judith Kerr, Vashti Harrison, Axel Scheffler and Oliver Jeffers. Holly finds inspiration in nature, music, gaming and film – such as the work of Hayao Miyazaki and the creators of the game ‘Animal Crossing’. As well as illustration, Holly enjoys writing. She has written books for children and young adults, as well as scripts for picture books, and aspires to be an author/illustrator
