“The Pathways Project is long overdue! At last there is a credible initiative to encourage a greater involvement of BAME participants in children’s publishing. It is great to see Arts Council England and so many companies and organisations supporting this programme.”
Since its inception Nobrow Ltd. has sought to make great design, ground-breaking art and narrative, luscious production values and environmental consciousness central to its mission. We have striven both to bring fresh, young talent to wider audiences, as well as to remind the world of the great talents that have been producing stunning work for many years. We have sought to bring new stories to life, as well as to revive well-worn yarns for new generations of people.

Emily BallSenior Editor (Flying Eye Books)
Having always loved how clever, inspiring, beautiful and silly children’s books can be, Emily Ball sought a Master’s in Children’s Literature and quickly found a home at Scholastic Children’s Books in 2015. In 2018, she joined Nobrow, where she currently works on their children's imprint, Flying Eye Books, as Senior Editor. Emily works on a range of illustrated children’s books and has the best job of commissioning new titles for the list. She's always on the lookout for something different and eye-catching and is very excited to be involved in Pathways to help bring more exciting and diverse talent into the publishing industry.
